Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, I loved growing up near the water and seeing the Corpus Christi Bay every day. My parents are amazing. As a child my mom always had a camera in hand and documented every moment of my childhood. My dad helped me build my first darkroom when I was a freshman in high school.
I moved to Austin in the fall of 2006 after earning a master's degree from Texas State University. My first job out of school was working in media communications. After a while I decided I really wanted to make a living with my camera. I have been working as a wedding photographer since 2009 and I truly enjoy meeting new people and capturing their celebrations and important moments. I now primarily work in the Corpus Christi and Austin markets.
l love weddings because they consist of a predictable set of events that are never exactly the same. I like the pace of weddings (fast!) and the beauty in the details and the moments that take place on such an important day. As a wedding photographer you have to be good at doing a lot of different things in a set mount of time. For a couple of years I was really into triathlons and I think this is kinda similar but with a camera in hand. No do overs!
The other thing I like to tell clients is to fall in love with your wedding photographer. You are going to spend a lot of time with your photographer on a very important day of your life! You should trust your photographer to take photos you'll love and you should enjoy his/her personality and be able to laugh together. A lot of my clients are now my friends and I feel very blessed to have come in contact with so many cool, hardworking and fun couples through the years!
PS - We just added on a photobooth called The Giffy Gram! It was so fun when we ran across it, we had to have it. Check out the website - www.GiffyGram.com - the Photobooth Alternative in Corpus Christi and Austin!
